All articles published in NeuScience journals are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence. This means anyone may freely read, download, copy, distribute, transmit, and adapt the work, provided appropriate credit is given to the original authors and source.

Article Processing Charges (APC)

Authors who submitted in 2026 and are accepted in 2027 will not be charged an APC retroactively.
Reader Access
There are no subscription fees, registration walls, or pay-per-view charges for any NeuScience content. All published articles are freely accessible in perpetuity.
Self-Archiving & Preprints
Authors are encouraged to deposit preprints in repositories such as bioRxiv, arXiv, or ChemRxiv before or during the review process. Preprint submission does not affect eligibility for publication in NeuScience journals.
Authors may self-archive the final published version immediately upon publication — no embargo period applies.

Authors retain copyright of their work. By submitting to a NeuScience journal, authors grant NeucitePress a non-exclusive licence to publish and distribute the work under the CC BY 4.0 terms.
